The process of changing your out-of-state driver's license and vehicle registration can be stressful on top of moving. Stop in or give us a call so we can make the process as easy as possible! Some of the steps to get you started are listed below:
Converting Out-Of-State Driver's License to PA - Visit a Full-Service PennDot Center
What You Will Need:
- Out-of-State Driver's License
- Social Security Card
- Original birth certificate or passport
- $39.50 check or money order (no debit cards)
- Two proofs of residency (must be printed versions):
- Lease Agreement
- Pay Stub
- Utility Bill
- Bank Statement

Converting Out-of-State Registration to PA (If you own your vehicle outright)
Items to Bring With You:
- Out-of-State Title (unless leased or financed)
- PA Driver's License
- PA Insurance Card
- Vehicle Present (For VIN Verification)
Converting Out-of-State Registration to PA (If your vehicle is leased or financed)
The first step of getting your registration converted to PA if your vehicle is being leased or financed is requesting it from your bank. You will need to come into the office to sign for the requesting of the title.
Items to Bring With You:
- Out-of-State Registration
- Driver's License
- Name of Finance/Leasing Company
- Account Number
- Fax # to their Title Department
- Attention Request should go to

- PA Driver's License
- PA Insurance Card
- Vehicle Present (for VIN Verification)
Turn Around Time To Receive Title
Once we submit the request, your title will be sent via FedEx or UPS to our office. We will call you to come in and officially obtain PA plates and registration.
